I did It!

I’ve been working with kilns for over a decade so I’m a little embarrassed to say that I have never actually fixed one.  Not to say that it hasn’t needed an occasional fixing, but I’ve never fixed one myself.  I’m very proud to say that I, have fixed my first kiln, the kiln relay to be exact.  Anyone working with a glass kiln has two sets of elements.  One in the base of the kiln and one in the lid, the lid on my first every purchased kiln stopped firing.  If you have a wonderful kiln company like mine Jen Ken Kilns, you don’t have to do too many repairs, at least that’s been my experience.  With a new relay in hand and some handy, badly needed instructions, I fixed the kiln and in just about a half hour, not too bad.  Can’t wait to get going making glass again!  I’ll let you know what comes next.
